December 2001 - 12/31/2001

As the year came to a happy conclusion all was safe and free just in the US. We celebrated the X-mas season witout worries. For me it was nice and simple. Some cards from friends and a total of I think 3 boxes to open. Wonderfully non commercial. A book on Spider-Man from Nanyehi, okane from me mudda and a replacement set of headphones from Illius. This was the type of X-mas I wanted to be a part of and, in hind sight, I am glad it finally happened. It truly was about friends and family.

Other points of interest? Nothing that is really relevant so I'm going to sign off the month with a grin...<- meaning -> out

Apprx 14 hours

Let's see that's 9 (LOTR) + 5 (Vanilla Sky), that's 14 + another 2 (Akira) and maybe another 2 (Matrix) totalling out at LEAST 18 hours of my weekend! Now that's a movie weekend if there ever was one. Oh, if you have yet to see LOTR - GO NOW.

Xmas was calm. Nice and calm. How calm, look back at the last sentence I just friggin wrote it. On yet another positive note, the Spider-Man trailer is kicking ass on the net. Yea yea yea!

Spider-Man QuickTime trailer a big draw in offices
Nielsen//NetRatings claims that 839,000 office workers visited Apple's Web site during the week ending Dec. 16, compared with 418,000 the week before -- a jump of 101 percent. The company indicated that 16 percent of those office dwellers -- about 134,000 unique visitors, ended up checking out the QuickTime-encoded trailer for Spider-Man hosted on Apple's site.

Oh it's going to be a great year in the movie theater. Hollywood seems to be waking up. Run along now kiddies and find yourself a happy place. Joy...<- meaning -> out

December 2001 - 12/19/2001

12:01 AM

At 12:01 AM I will be watching the trailers for Spider-Man, Blade and Austin Powers. After that, the show begins!

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

An ancient Ring thought lost for centuries has been found, and through a strange twist in fate has been given to a small Hobbit named Frodo. When Gandalf discovers the Ring is in fact the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron, Frodo must make an epic quest to the Cracks of Doom in order to destroy it! However he does not go alone. He is joined by Gandalf, Legolas the elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Aragorn, Boromir and his three Hobbit friends Merry, Pippin and Samwise. Through mountains, snow, darkness, forests, rivers and plains, facing evil and danger at every corner the Fellowship of the Ring must go. Their quest to destroy the One Ring is the only hope for the end of the Dark Lords reign!

I'm going to see the LOTR!!!!!!!!!!! I smile lots...<- meaning -> out

This song made me teary eyed on my way home today.

Dream Theater - "Scenes From A Memory"
Scene Eight: The Spirit Carries On

Where did we come from?
Why are we here?
Where do we go when we die?
What lies beyond And what lay before?
Is anything certain in life?
They say, "Life is too short,"
"The here and the now"
And "You're only given one shot"
But could there be more,
Have I lived before,
Or could this be all that we've got?

If I die tomorrow
I'd be allright
Because I believe
That after we're gone
The spirit carries on

I used to be frightened of dying
I used to think death was the end
But that was before
I'm not scared anymore
I know that my soul will transcend

I may never find all the answers
I may never understand why
I may never prove
What I know to be true
But I know that I still have to try

If I die tomorrow
I'd be allright
Because I believe
That after we're gone
The spirit carries on

"Move on, be brave
Don't weep at my grave
Because I am no longer here
But please never let
Your memory of me disappear"

Safe in the light that surrounds me
Free of the fear and the pain
My questioning mind
Has helped me to find
The meaning in my life again
Victoria's real
I finally feel
At peace with the girl in my dreams
And now that I'm here
It's perfectly clear
I found out what all of this means

If I die tomorrow
I'd be allright
Because I believe
That after we're gone
The spirit carries on

I enjoyed the pain, lonliness, and unity that the song presents. Ahh...<- meaning -> out

Suvery says...

Why lookie lookie, I make an update, I look at my guestbook, and someone has asked a question.

signed by Ms. Cherise LaMourning on 12/16/01
I'm very lonely, will you touch me please?

That's so sweet of you Cherise, but, uh, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? Talk about anonymity. There is nothing indicating who "Cherise" is. I'll put this one down as a nice fun joke. Oh my, someone playing around. Ewwwww - Woooooow...<- meaning -> out

December 2001 - 12/16/2001

"Where the fuc have you been?" Been asking that have you? Well, besides a new production, shopping, sleeping at random time, counting all the bills that have already come in, deciding what to do with that extra limb, not too much. I do apologize to the 3 of you reading and following up on me. Seriously, I sorry.

I did happen to see a most excellent thing early this month. I was a halo around the moon. WTF? You ask, check it:

A Halo around the Moon

Moon Light Effects

What is it you ask?
The ring that appears around the moon arises from light passing through six-sided ice crystals high in the atmosphere. These ice crystals refract, or bend, light in the same manner that a camera lens bends light. The ring has a diameter of 22° , and sometimes, if you are lucky, it is also possible to detect a second ring, 44° diameter. Thin high cirrus clouds lofting at 20,000 feet or more contain tiny ice crystals that originate from the freezing of super cooled water droplets.

Neat enh!

So that was something Athos, Rahotep and I saw on I believe the 1st. Talk about recollection - not to shabby. Sadly, I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday.

Ok, the new play I'm working on is "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams. Talk about one helluva difficult play. DAMN Man. The lines they be simple, but the character sure as hell AINT. LOTS OF TIME REHEARSING this stuff. DAMN.

I will let the fun die down for for the moment. I know something will happen in the next couple days that will make me happy, sad, or extremely something. So, with that I'll let you practice your numbers again. Here, I'll start you off: ichi, ni, san, shi...<- meaning -> out
