See?
Okay, so Friday night after work I was invited to see THE GREAT BIG SEA. Now on the phone I thought it was "THE GREAT BIG C" -- silly me with my marketing mind in action. Who asked me? Why none other than Alice. She had an extra ticket, so I said "what the hay, why not?" One song stuck out in my mind. Below are the lyrics to this ever so easy to listen to tune.:
Bostonand St. Johns
Released June 1999
(written by Doyle)Girl, dont tell me that its morning
Can we keep the curtains drawn
I havent given you fair warning
But our ship, she sails at dawnChorus
Its true I must be going but I swear I wont be long
There isnt that much ocean between Boston and St. Johns
Im a rover and Im bound to sail away
Im a rover can you love me anyway? And if some suitor comes approaching
Will you let him through your door
And what if I return half broken
Will you still want me anymore?Chorus
Bridge
Close your eyes and dream
Tell me what you see
Tell me what you want
Just tell me that youll wait for meChorus
Beddie-by time for lil ol' Gar. K, nigh nigh world. Nigh nigh...<- meaning -> out
